Octobank’s advertising has appeared on the iconic screens of Times Square in New York, making it one of the first Uzbek banks to be featured on one of the most recognizable advertising platforms in the world. Right in the heart of Manhattan, the bank’s brand was displayed next to leading international companies, presenting itself to a wide global audience.
Times Square ranks among the most famous advertising spaces on the planet. Campaigns by global technology, financial, consumer and media brands appear here every day. According to the bank, being present on this platform was a symbolic next step in its pursuit of international recognition and a more active presentation of modern Uzbekistan abroad.
The campaign was a follow-up to the Octobank team’s international trip to the US. Just before that, the bank’s representatives attended SIBOS 2026 in Miami, one of the financial industry’s major global conferences, which brings together banks, payment companies, technology corporations, fintech businesses and representatives of international financial infrastructure. There, Octobank introduced itself to the international professional community, met directly with existing and prospective partners, and discussed the development of correspondent relationships, payment infrastructure, technology solutions and new forms of cooperation.
“The value of SIBOS lies first and foremost in the opportunity to hold a direct professional dialogue with players in the global financial market and to turn new contacts into specific joint projects,” the Octobank press service said.
Once the conference was over, Octobank’s international communication moved beyond the professional platform and into the public space of New York.
Octobank today is a bank with 25 years of experience in Uzbekistan’s financial market. It builds solutions for retail and corporate clients, international partners and financial organizations, paying special attention to technology infrastructure, international operations, payment services and modern risk management standards.
The bank describes openness to foreign partners as one of the key elements of its international positioning. Octobank says it regularly shares information about its corporate infrastructure, its approach to AML and sanctions compliance, transaction monitoring, cybersecurity, risk management and cooperation with international financial institutions.
The bank therefore presents the brand’s appearance on Times Square not as an isolated image-building exercise, but as part of a wider strategy for international presence. Octobank considers it important not only to talk about what it can offer, but also to show international audiences how Uzbekistan’s banking sector is evolving and becoming more technologically advanced, open and integrated into the international financial system.
Initiatives like this, the bank believes, help foreign partners, investors and the professional community discover companies from Uzbekistan, generate new points of contact and create additional opportunities for future cooperation.
Octobank plans to keep expanding its brand’s international presence, building relationships with foreign financial institutions and presenting the potential of Uzbekistan’s banking sector on the world’s biggest platforms.
